The National Resistance Movement (NRM) National Treasurer, Hon. Ambassador Barbara Nekesa Oundo, has extended her heartfelt appreciation to the public for the overwhelming support during the burial of her maternal grandmother, the late Nafula Jessica, aged 93.
In an emotional message shared after the burial, Nekesa thanked friends, relatives, leaders, and well-wishers who joined her family in mourning, whether in person, in prayer, or through financial support.
“On behalf of the family of the late Makoba Yitiko and on my own behalf, I extend our deepest gratitude for the love, prayers, and generous contributions you shared with us during this difficult time. From the moment she passed away in Kampala to her final resting place in Dabani-Busia, your presence and support have been a true testament of unity and kindness. We are forever grateful,” said Amb. Nekesa.
The burial ceremony, held in Dabani Busia, drew hundreds of mourners from across the region, including key political, religious, and community leaders.
