Kutosi Siragi Kuloba has officially been nominated by the National Resistance Movement (NRM) Electoral Commission to contest for the party flag in the upcoming Lutsekhe County parliamentary race in Bududa District. His nomination marks a significant step in the party's internal democratic process as it prepares for the crucial primary elections set for July 16, 2025.

Speaking shortly after his nomination, Kuloba passionately appealed to the people of Lutsekhe County to rally behind him, promising a leadership style rooted in inclusive development and practical service delivery.

“I want everybody to rally behind me because during my reign they will benefit from service delivery, especially the women, youth, and elderly," Kuloba emphasized.

"My leadership will focus on changing the mindset of my constituents to actively engage in income-generating projects to uplift household incomes.”

Kuloba pledged to lobby for the improvement of essential services in the constituency, particularly in the health and education sectors, which he described as critical to community transformation.

“I will make sure I lobby to help improve health and education services in my Constituency. We need better schools, accessible healthcare, and community-based initiatives that directly address the needs of our people,” he said.

The aspiring MP also underscored the need to empower marginalized groups and promote self-sustainability through targeted programs aimed at skills development and access to start-up capital, especially for the youth and women.

The nomination window for NRM aspirants officially closes on June 30, 2025, as the party gears up for the next stages of its internal electoral roadmap. The Central Executive Committee (CEC) is set to conduct its own vetting and nominations between June 26 and July 1, ahead of the much-anticipated Delegates Conference, which will precede the party primaries.

In Bududa and other parts of the country, candidates have begun unveiling their visions and pledges, setting the tone for an issue-based campaign season focused on service delivery, youth empowerment, education, health, agriculture, and local economic transformation.

Kuloba’s candidacy adds to the growing list of aspirants vying for the NRM flag in various constituencies, as party loyalists and supporters prepare to make their voices heard in the primaries. His message of transformation through mindset change and targeted service delivery has resonated with many residents, especially those in rural and underserved areas.

Should he win the NRM primary, Kutosi Siragi Kuloba will carry the party’s flag into the national parliamentary elections, representing the aspirations of Lutsekhe County under the NRM banner.

As July 16 draws near, all eyes will be on Bududa District to see which candidate will emerge as the people's choice to lead them into a new chapter of development and empowerment.
