Stanbic Bank Unveils Game-Changing Digital Banking Experience with ‘Kya Double with Supa Dupa’ Campaign

In a bold move to revolutionize customer banking experiences, Stanbic Bank Uganda has launched an innovative end to end digital account opening platform alongside a dynamic new campaign dubbed ‘Kya Double with Supa Dupa’. The initiative is designed to offer unmatched convenience, instant rewards, and tailored financial solutions for both personal and business clients.

The bank’s latest digital innovation eliminates the traditional hassle of paperwork and long queues. Customers can now open a fully operational Stanbic account in under five minutes using the Stanbic app, mobile, or online banking platforms all completely free of charge.

Israel Arinaitwe, Head of Personal Banking at Stanbic Bank, said the initiative is a direct response to customer feedback gathered through social media, feedback forums, and one on one engagements. “We heard the call for faster, simpler, and more rewarding banking.

With Kya Double with Supa Dupa, we're delivering exactly that seamless access, digital convenience, and tangible rewards for customers who consistently use and deposit into their accounts,” said Arinaitwe.

Alongside this digital transformation, the bank has upgraded its credit offerings. Customers can now access instant mobile loans of up to UGX 5 million at any time of the day, and those seeking higher amounts can apply for digital loans of up to UGX 250 million, processed in under two minutes, subject to eligibility.

At the same launch event, Stanbic introduced the Pamoja Account, a fully digital banking solution targeted at Uganda’s large population of single member and sole proprietorship businesses. With no opening charges and a minimal average balance requirement of UGX 2 million, the Pamoja Account enables entrepreneurs to formalize and grow their businesses without the traditional barriers.

Aaron Akampa, Head of Enterprise Banking, noted that this solution addresses longstanding challenges faced by small businesses in accessing formal financial services and credit. “We’re solving a real problem. Many entrepreneurs in Uganda operate as individuals but are locked out of the formal economy.

The Pamoja Account changes that. It offers access to loans of up to UGX 200 million and provides a professional, digital banking experience tailored for the local business landscape,” Akampa explained.

As part of the Kya Double with Supa Dupa campaign, customers stand a chance to win double the value of their deposits through monthly draws. Whether saving, paying bills, or making transfers, every transaction earns entries into weekly prize draws.

Sonia Karamagi, Head of Customer Experience, emphasized the bank’s commitment to giving back to loyal customers. “We’re turning everyday banking into a rewarding experience. Whether you're a new customer or a long-time account holder, every transaction counts toward something bigger. This is what customer-centric banking looks like,” she said.

With a network of 83 branches and over 7,000 agent bankers across the country, Stanbic Bank is positioning itself as the go-to financial partner for Ugandans seeking fast, accessible, and rewarding banking services.

As Uganda's largest commercial bank with over a century of trusted service, Stanbic’s digital leap is set to transform how individuals and small businesses engage with finance making banking not just easier, but smarter.
