Central Region NRM Leaders Urged to Unite as Kyeswa Hakim Rallies Support for SIG Elections

In a strategic move to strengthen the National Resistance Movement (NRM) ahead of the upcoming Special Interest Group (SIG) elections, Kyeswa Hakim, aspiring National Vice Chairman for NRM in the Central Region, has issued a passionate call to action for party leaders across the region.
In his statement, Friday, Hakim urged all NRM leaders to actively mobilize at the grassroots, especially targeting youth structures at the village level. Kyeswa, however, emphasized the pivotal role the youth will play not just in the SIG elections but as the engine driving the NRM into the forthcoming general elections.
“We must stand united behind our NRM candidates. Our presence in every village must be loud, organized, and unwavering,” Hakim said.
By prioritizing victories in Youth Councils, we are not just winning elections we are investing in the future leadership of our party.”
The SIG elections, which include youth, women, and persons with disabilities, are viewed as a litmus test for the NRM’s grassroots strength and organizational capacity.
Hakim’s message focused on consolidating support through visible, village level engagements youth rallies, community outreach, and mobilization campaigns that reassert NRM’s dominance across all local councils.
Kyeswa described the SIG elections as “the frontline of our broader political mission,” noting that strong results will energize the party base and lay a solid foundation for 2026.
“These elections give us a unique opportunity to inspire a new generation of NRM leaders,” he added. “When our youth see the party fighting for them and with them, they become the most passionate torchbearers of our movement.”
Kyeswa Hakim, known for his grassroots mobilization and sharp political acumen, has continued to position himself as a unifier and strategist within the Central Region.
His rallying call is already resonating among NRM youth leaders, with several districts reportedly organizing intensified mobilization drives in response.
As the political tempo builds, all eyes are now on how effectively the NRM will convert this call into coordinated action across the Central Region and beyond. For Hakim, however, the mission is clear: unity, visibility, and victory starting at the village level.
