“She Fought for Us” Apostle Grace Lubega Honors Minister Minsa Kabanda at My Great Price Conference

A powerful spirit of gratitude and truth reverberated through Phaneroo Ministries International’s Naguru grounds on Saturday, as thousands gathered for the 7th edition of the annual My Great Price Women’s Conference. But amidst the worship, empowerment, and celebration, a deeply moving moment unfolded when Apostle Grace Lubega publicly recognized the Minister for Kampala, Hajjat Minsa Kabanda, for her courageous stand in defending Phaneroo’s right to retain its land.

Addressing the packed audience, Apostle Lubega revealed that during a critical time when the ministry’s rightful ownership of the land was under threat even after full payment Minister Kabanda stood in the gap.

“While some of our fiercest opposition came from fellow Christians,” he said, “she was the one fighting for us. She was at the frontline when others remained silent or turned against us. Her boldness and sense of justice are the reason we’re still here.”

The revelation stirred emotional reactions from the audience, who offered a long applause in appreciation of the minister’s integrity. It was a rare moment in public ministry when faith, governance, and moral courage converged.

Minister Kabanda, who was the conference’s chief guest, used her platform to deliver a heartfelt call to women across the nation to rise, lead, and serve with purpose. She reminded them of their responsibility as mothers of the nation not only to nurture, but to influence policy, society, and the future of Uganda. “Women must be those of substance,” she said,

“who uplift the weak and support each other. Leadership is not about position, but purpose.”

The conference, themed around discovering purpose and value as women, was further enriched by the presence of globally celebrated guest ministers. Dr. Cindy Trimm, a renowned leadership coach, author, and preacher from the United States, delivered a transformative message on unlocking potential and walking boldly in divine destiny.

South African gospel powerhouse Ntokozo Mbambo brought the crowd to tears and worship with her soul stirring songs that elevated the spiritual atmosphere.

Phaneroo’s Pastor Ronnie Mutebi echoed the day’s message of unity and partnership during an interview with journalists, urging men not to walk ahead or behind women but alongside them. “When men and women walk together in harmony, guided by God’s vision,” he said, “families are stronger and nations are transformed.”

What began as a women’s conference evolved into a powerful national moment one that spotlighted the integrity of leadership, the unity of the church, and the unstoppable rise of purpose driven women in Uganda.

My Great Price has grown into more than an event, it is a movement awakening women to live out their calling with courage and conviction. And this year, it stood as a testament to the power of standing for what is right, even when it's unpopular.

As the crowd dispersed into the evening, one truth remained clear, while land can be fought for in courtrooms, it is in hearts like Minister Kabanda’s fearless, righteous, and unwavering that true victory is secured.
