“Mukasa Returns with Proof, Not Promises” Rubaga South MP Eyes Another Term After NUP Nomination
On Monday, Hon. Aloysius Mukasa, the incumbent Member of Parliament for Rubaga South, has been officially nominated by the National Unity Platform (NUP) to run for re-election in the 2026 general polls.
His nomination was received with jubilation from supporters who gathered at the NUP headquarters to witness what many described as a moment of continuity and reassurance.
In a confident yet humble address, Mukasa made it clear that he is not running on empty promises but on a proven record of service and results.
"It is easy to speak, but leadership is about action. The voters of Rubaga South know my work. I’ve been with them through every struggle, every milestone,” Mukasa stated firmly. “This is not about making noise. It’s about building impact.”
During his tenure, Mukasa has earned widespread recognition for his hands-on leadership, particularly in youth empowerment, health outreach, infrastructure development, and consistent advocacy for marginalized communities. His grassroots approach has made him a household name, especially among young people and working-class voters.
Mukasa’s re-election bid, he said, is driven by the desire to build on what has already been achieved, rather than to start from scratch. He emphasized continuity in service delivery and deeper community engagement as pillars of his next term if given the mandate.
